The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veteran’s organization. We are a community-service organization numbering nearly 3 million veterans –men & women – in nearly 15,000 posts world wide.
The American Legion thru the American Legion Riders, (Southwest Chapters) are now in their fourth year of asking for your help in our mission to aid our wounded young returning from frontlines of Iraq, Afghanistan and all other parts of the world.
Many of our soldiers wounded in battle may spend as long as two to three years in hospitals. This is because of surgeries and/or in fisher housing recovering from their physical injuries. Many of them are single, double and in some cases triple amputees, and/or burned (sometimes, beyond family recognition).
They can’t do it alone, they need all of our Help
Since Operation Wounded Warrior was formed, we have given nearly $250,000 in health, comfort and personnel items. These items are provided to our wounded and their supporting families funded by your support to Camp Pendleton Hospital, Balboa Medical Center (California) and Brooks Army Medical Center (BAMC), in San Antonio, Texas. BAMC is a premier burn and trauma center for not only military, but, for all people of our great nation.
Your corporate, company and individual donations are used to buy needed supplies for these honored veterans.
Contributions to help our soldiers can be mailed to:
Union Bank c/o Operation Wounded Warrior 20713 E. Ocotillo Rd. Queen Creek, AZ. 85232
“Operation Wounded Warrior” is operated by veterans from all branches caring for our wounded soldiers. They are our sons, daughters, husbands, wife’s, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in some cases, neighbors to all of us. Please help us help them, as we can’t do it alone.
For donation purposes, the American Legion Post 129 is the sponsoring post and is a tax-exempt 501(c) (19) nonprofit organization. Tax I.D. 20-3054603
Thank you for your consideration and support.
